I’ve spent over two decades of my life studying the psychology of deception and identifying predictable blind spots in otherwise intelligent and sophisticated people. Over the course of my career, I’ve successfully picked the pockets of law-enforcement professionals, gotten CEOs of major technology companies to unwittingly disclose their PIN codes to me, and steered senior executives at multibillion-dollar companies to do exactly what I wanted.
